Before you start

You need a verified MDCN licence, and the patient’s full HPN.

Steps

1

Open Patients

Click Patients in the sidebar (/clinical/patients). Or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K).
2

Type the full HPN

Type all 12 digits. The dashes are added for you.
3

Read the access badge

The result shows your access to this patient:
  • Under consent: the patient gave you access.
  • Treatment basis: limited access for this visit.
  • Emergency override: full access in an emergency.
  • Self-access: it’s your own record.
  • No badge: you have no access yet. You see only that the patient exists.
4

Open the record or get access

If you have access, open the record. If not, see Getting access to a record.

What you can do here

  • Find any PHB patient by full HPN.
  • See your access status before you open anything.
Search by name or phone is not available yet. It shows as pending. Ask the patient for their HPN, or ask the front desk.
