# Prescriptions and refills

> See your prescriptions, what was dispensed, and ask your doctor for a refill.

## Before you start

You need to be signed in. Open **Prescriptions** (`/prescriptions`).

## Steps

### See a prescription

1. Tap a prescription in the list.
2. You see the **Medications** and the **Dispense history**, including whether counselling was given.

### Ask for a refill

    It must be active and have refills left.

  <Step title="Tap Request refill">
    Answer **Are your symptoms the same?** with **Same as before** or **New symptoms**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a note (optional)">
    Use **Notes for your doctor (optional)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send">
    Tap **Send refill request**. The request goes to the doctor who prescribed it. You are told when they decide.

## What you can do here

* See every prescription and its dispense history.
* Request refills.

## Common problems

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| **No refills remain — book a visit for a new prescription.** | Book a visit. |
| **This prescription is not active.** | It has expired or been fully used. Book a visit. |
| **That prescription was not found.** | It isn't yours, or the link is wrong. |
