# Doctor onboarding

> Verify your MDCN licence and complete your provider profile so you can use the clinical workspace.

## Before you start

You need:

* The role `clinician` at a facility, and your first sign-in done.
* Your MDCN licence number (folio), its expiry date and your specialty.

Onboarding is at `/clinical/onboarding`. PHB sends you there automatically until your licence is verified.

## Steps

The stepper across the top shows **Identity**, **Profile**, **Credentials**, **Agreements**, **Training** and **Active**.

    Under **Verify your professional license**, enter **Given name**, **Family name**, **Council** (MDCN), **License / folio number**, **Specialty** and **Expires on**. Click **Verify license & continue**. PHB checks the council registry. When it passes you see **Council registry · verified**. Your HPN is set up or reused at this point. You never get a second one.

    Fill in your professional profile, which patients see when they book.

  <Step title="Credentials">
    Upload supporting documents. They show as pending review.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Agreements">
    Read each agreement to the end and sign.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Training">
    Pass the short training quiz.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Active">
    You are ready. Your next sign-in takes you to **Today**.
  </Step>

<Note>
  The training step unlocks a **practice consult**. It is rehearsal only. It is not scored and does not count toward your credentials. It does not use live AI.

## Common problems

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| **Manual review · in progress** | PHB's team is confirming your licence by hand. Wait for it to finish. |
| **License is not active · cannot continue** | The council returned a status other than active. Contact the council or your owner. |
| **That license number is already registered.** | This licence is already on another account. Contact PHB. |
| **Finish setting up your provider profile.** on Today | Complete the remaining steps. |
