# Inbox and refills

> Approve or decline patients' refill requests, and review released lab results.

## Before you start

You need a verified MDCN licence. Open **Inbox** in the sidebar (`/clinical/inbox`).

## Steps

### Refill requests

    Choose **Refill requests** in the category list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the request">
    Check the prescription details. Open the patient's record if you need more context. That needs a basis, as usual.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide">
    Click **Approve · as-is**, or decline with a reason. The patient is notified either way.
  </Step>

### Lab releases

Choose **Lab releases** to see results from tests you ordered. See [Lab orders and results](/guides/doctor/lab-orders-and-results).

## What you can do here

* Approve or decline refills.
* Review released lab results and start follow-ups.

<Note>
  Only **All**, **Refill requests** and **Lab releases** work today. Other categories, such as **Patient questions**, **Pharmacy queries**, **Co-sign requests** and **Elara · briefs**, are marked soon. **Approve · modify** is not available yet.

## Common problems

| Problem | What to do |

| The inbox is empty | You are all caught up. |
| Something didn't load | Click **Try again**. |
