# Today

> Your day in the clinical workspace: appointments, unsigned notes and results to review.

## Before you start

You need a verified MDCN licence. Sign in at `/clinical/login`. **Today** is at `/clinical/today`.

## Steps

  <Step title="Check your appointments">
    The timeline lists today's appointments with their status. Click one to open the patient. If you have none, you see **Clear day**.

  <Step title="Set your status">
    Use **On break**, **Resume** or **Check out** so the front desk knows if you're available.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign your notes">
    The unsigned lane lists encounters waiting for your signature. Each shows a countdown. When all are done you see **All signed**.

  <Step title="Check results">
    **Results to review** and **Refill requests** link to your Inbox.
  </Step>

<Note>
  The countdown on unsigned notes is a reminder only. An overdue note can still be signed.
</Note>

## What you can do here

* See and open today's appointments.
* Cancel an appointment, with an optional reason shared with the patient.
* Jump to unsigned encounters.
* Check results and refills.

<Note>
  **Tasks**, **Patient messages**, **Colleague shares** and the **Elara** daily brief are not available yet.
</Note>

## Common problems

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| **Your license is under review.** | Wait for verification. See [Doctor onboarding](/guides/doctor/onboarding). |
| You land on `/hospital` instead | You don't hold the `clinician` role. Ask your owner or admin. |
