# Clinical tools

> The calculators and scores at /clinical/tools, what runs where, and what is not built.

**Tools** in the clinician sidebar opens `/clinical/tools`. You need the role `clinician`.

## What is there

The library lists **53 tools** (Track A). **51** open and work today. They are calculators, scores, screening tools, converters and a medicine reference, for example eGFR, BMI, NEWS2, GCS, PHQ-9 and a Nigerian essential-medicines lookup.

Each tool shows its source, edition and year. A label shows whether PHB marks it `verified` or `standard`. You can search by name, category or drug, and filter by specialty.

| Kind | Status |
| - | - |
| Calculators, scores, screens, converters (51) | Live |
| **SCD hydroxyurea titration** and **WHO Labour Care Guide** | Listed, locked as hospital tier. Not open yet. |
| AI-assisted tools (**Track B**) | Not built |

<Note>
  Tools inform. They are not a diagnosis or an order. PHB has not yet had every tool's content signed off by its clinical advisor, so this page does not describe what any result means. Read the source shown on each tool.
</Note>

## Where the sums run

The calculators run in your browser. When you press calculate, nothing about the patient is sent to PHB. You cannot attach a tool to a patient. **Copy result** puts the result on your clipboard. **Push to encounter** is shown disabled (Soon).

If you go offline, the calculators and scores keep working.

## AI tools

The catalogue shows what is planned: a differential, a note summariser, a lab anomaly flag and others. They are not built. They are awaiting clinical sign-off, and each tool opens a page saying so.

## Ask for a tool

Use **Request this tool** on the catalogue. Describe what you need and why. The PHB team reads every request. You cannot yet see the status of your request.
