# Choose a facility

> What happens when you work at more than one facility on PHB.

Your roles belong to a facility. If you work at two hospitals, you hold a separate role at each one.

## Before you start

You need roles at more than one facility. Your owner or admin at each facility gives you these.

## Steps

    Use your work email, password and authenticator code.

  <Step title="Pick the facility">
    PHB shows **Choose a facility** (`/hospital/select-tenant`). Each facility is listed with your role there. Choose the one you are working at today.

    Everything you see now belongs to that facility: its staff, beds, tariff and invoices. The top bar shows the facility and your role there.

## What you can do here

* Choose which facility you are working at after sign-in.

## Things to know

* **Doctors:** there is no facility switch inside the clinical workspace yet. **Today's facility** is marked **soon**.
* **Pharmacists:** if you are a pharmacist at more than one pharmacy, PHB uses the first one. There is no picker yet.
* Picking a facility does not grant anything. PHB checks your role again on every action.
* **The facility name in the top bar is display only.** It shows a small arrow, but clicking it does nothing. It is not a switcher.
* **Your roles are read when you sign in.** If an owner adds you to a second facility, sign out and sign in again before it shows up.

## Common problems

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| **No facility access** | You have no role at any facility. Ask your owner or admin. |
| You picked the wrong facility | Open `/hospital/select-tenant` again while signed in and pick the other one. Nothing in the menus links to it yet, so type the address or sign out and in again. |
| You only see one facility, but you expected two | Sign out and sign in again, then ask your owner or admin to confirm your role at the second facility. |
